“If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.” -Shinichi Suzuki

A Musical Space for Joyful Learning

Steeped in Suzuki Method fundamental, Cedarcroft Music Conservatory welcomes string instrument students ages 3 and up with the belief that every child truly can gain musical ability. “Musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability which can be developed. Any child who is properly trained can develop musical ability…” - S. Suzuki.

Students at CMC can expect 3 sessions (fall, winter, and spring) of 12 weeks each which includes a weekly lesson, monthly group class and an end of session recital. Summer session lasts for 8 weeks during the months of July and August. Only private lessons are available during the summer session.

Lessons are offered at intervals of 30, 45 and 60 minutes to accommodate learners of all ages. Each student is welcome to a complementary trial lesson to ensure a good fit.

The conservatory also offers students the option to receive training as part of a group class only (subject to availability). Group class is a wonderful way for students to become acquainted with the musical instrument of their choice in a social environment.

Students of private lessons can elected to receive additional training in beginner piano, theory and aural skills at that the same rate as their lesson. Lessons are being offered for violin, viola and cello.
